Senior Pictures! Kiya: Class of 2022

Just a ‘few’ of my favorites from an evening of “almost rain” with Kiya. The weather was perfect (from inside of my parka) and I love the natural effects of the blustery day. And, while we didn’t end up getting rained on, we did get a bit of extra city sparkle from the rain, which, if you aren’t wearing all the warm wintery things, might actually be the best of both worlds.

Hayley: 2021 Graduate

I’ve had the pleasure of photographing Hayley (and her family) for almost a decade.
People often ask me what my favorite part of my job is. The question is almost always intended to inquire about what genre is the most fun for me. The answer to the question…the BEST part of this job…is the opportunity to document people as they grow and change and move through different chapters of their lives. It is SO cool. Indescribably amazing.
While sitting here, writing this post, I went back through all of the sessions I’ve had with Hayley since I first met her in 2011. (There is a little collage of favorites at the end.) Ten years of adolescence is a whirlwind of changes, some more obvious than others. One thing that shines through in every session, is that Hayley, at any age, is an energetic force.
Every client I photograph, every family I document - each is unique. And, it’s just so cool to experience in such an intimate setting. Watching Hayley’s youthful energy grow into confident, quick-witted self-assuredness…getting to have this unique window to participate in that…THAT is the best part of my job.
